Description for Ford F-100 1952
great unique truck. The hard work has already been complete. The truck sits on a mid 1980's Gm truck chassis with a 350 motor and a 350 transmission. Truck has overdrive. I was going to restore truck but I have no time. Tires are brand new. Maybe 200 miles. Interior needs headliner. Gauges are updated. Has a Gm column and wheel. Has door poppers with remote but needs to be gone over. Works, but not consistent. Truck sat a couple years. Starts up and isles great. When you get on it carb chokes a bit. Probably needs complete tuneup. Overall it's a great start. With a little bit of work you have a great and unique driver. Truck sits well on chassis. Like I said at one point it was a nice restoration. With a tuneup you can start driving as you restore it. I'm mixed on selling because it took me a long time to find one in this condition. Good lucking bidding. Only bid if you plan on buying. Questions have been asked regarding this listing so I decided to compile some more information.Frame is in great condition. Not under coated and looks like original paint so nothing is hidden.Truck has heat and air. The blower works but the ambient temperature was too cold to judge if the ac is blowing cold. The motor is Chevy blue and I am told it was from a mid 80's 1500 series pickup as well as the frame. The exhaust is not excessive but has a nice rumble. The two pipes come out the back. The nose is all steel and has a hydraulic setup. The system is not currently hooked up but all items seem to be in place. You turn the wheel all the way and when the pressure builds in the power steering pump you pull a lever next to the drivers seat and the hood opens. Once again the system was disconnected by the pins being removed from the pistons and i never hooked it up to see if it works. The previous owner told me one of the pistons is not working. It has a Gm steering column and gm pedals for gas and brake and gm mirrors. I believe everything but the body came from the donor truck. All gauges seem to work. They light up blue.As stated, a good older restoration that needs to be redone. The tough stuff is done, the body on the chassis, Frenched in, sits well on chassis. The motor runs well but the carb is choking. The car sat for a couple years in an barn with a concrete floor. The radio is in the glove box.The blue paint on the inside and out side match. The gray grill matches the gray on the dashboard. To open the rear doors from the outside, there is a lever under the rear bumper to open the latch. From the inside you can open with regular door handle. The rear license plate folds down to expose a Reese style hitch.Text me at 201 four one zero 1553 and i will send you a video of the truck running. I hit the pedal to the floor board quick to display the choke it gives under exceleration. The truck was just started on a 38 degree morning. You will here it smooth out as it warms up and idle down.
