Description for Ford Mustang 1993
1993 was the last year of the Fox body Mustang. This was the car that brought the pony back to a true gallop, and so Ford wanted to send it off properly. There were only a few special editions made, and this highly original example is one of the boldest of them all. With a terrific factory look, and the right worthwhile upgrades, this 1993 Ford Mustang LX Convertible Limited Edition is a true modern classic of distinction. ... Chrome Yellow really is quite striking. It was introduced only for this special edition car in 1993, and only about 1,500 examples were made. It was actually a preview of the bolder colors offered on the next generation, and so this car provides a very cool look into the future. Because the paint is quite special, it's good to see it remains mostly factory with the right upkeep along the way. That also meant the vibrant color looks great in the sunshine â€" exactly what you want on a sunshine-friendly droptop. These special edition cars were not just about the paint, but also the details. It has a unique style with body-colored mirrors and a proper spoiler in place of the luggage rack â€" and this was all done at the factory. Plus, this example has been upgraded to polished 17-inch Cobra R wheels for added flair. Black was the optional color to go with the yellow, and we all know it's worth it, because that's a timeless combo. So this car looks great with the black roof in place, or when you take it down to reveal the full blackout interior. This is a collector car that has been treated with respect, so the leather on the seats still feels supple. Plus, the Limited Edition package meant the galloping horses in the headrests â€" similar to the famous Pony package of the iconic first generation! This has a ton of great factory features, like power locks, cruise control, alarm system, driver's airbag, and anti-lock brakes. Plus, there are some nice additions like a fully integrated radar detector. The radio is an upgraded AM/FM/CD unit that has a flip-up screen to play DVDs, and it's all part of a nicely integrated subwoofer stereo system in the custom trunk. But even with all these features, we bet your favorite ones will be the power windows and power convertible top. Together, they mean you don't have to leave the driver's seat to go from enclosed comfort to a wind-in-your-hair experience. And with cold-blowing R134a air conditioning, you can enjoy top-down motoring long into the summer. Under the hood is what makes the Fox bodies a true legend. The fuel-injected 5.0-liter motor is believed to be original and has a very stock look â€" exactly what you want on a collector car. This V8 is great for delivering on the Mustang's power promise, and it's also ideal for an easy cruiser. The same goes for the four-speed automatic transmission that's quick with kick-downs for performance or will happily eat up the miles in overdrive. Add in power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, a limited-slip rear end, and sway bars front & rear, and you soon realize this is the Limited Edition convertible you'll love driving everywhere. Complete with owner's manual, this is a rare, significant, and distinct Mustang. So to have it offered for a value price means you need to hurry up and call today!
